ShapeWin Co., Ltd. accepted two awards for pioneering long-term remote work policies in Japan. ShapeWin was awarded the 2022 “Shining Telework Award” from the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare and was one of the recipients of the 2022 “100 Telework Pioneers” award by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications.
“Because everyone is at a different stage of their life and career, we believe that remote work is an important part of recruiting talented individuals from varied perspectives,” founder and spokesperson Mr. Yusuke Kamimura stated. “At our PR & marketing agency, we strive to provide employees strong benefits and salary scaling like in larger companies, while still providing the freedom and remote work style of a start-up.”
These two awards come at a time where remote work is gradually becoming a new norm amongst many businesses. Initiated during the global pandemic, many countries including Japan have instituted remote work policies. ShapeWin has also recently opened a North American branch in BC, Canada, expanding the creative opportunity of these remote work policies to include areas in different time zones.
“As new technology develops, there are now a variety of different tools available to work across borders seamlessly. As a global company, we will continue to provide flexible employment methods starting with remote work,” Kamimura continued.
The Shining Telework Award is presented by the Minister of Health Labour and Welfare to companies that endeavor to improve the work-life balance of their employees through remote work. The Telework 100 Pioneer award has been presented since 2015 by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications to 100 companies that introduce and develop policies for teleworking.
