Shapewin Receives Gold Certification for White Company Accreditation
ShapeWin (Shibuya-ku, Tokyo), a public relations and digital marketing support company, announces that it has received Gold Certification for 2022 from the White Company Certification Program of the Japan Organization for the Promotion of Next-Generation Corporations (Kita-ku, Osaka City; commonly known as the White Foundation). In Japan, the term “White Company” refers to the business legitimacy & ethical policies of a company. This is in contrast to the term “black company”, which refers to a scam business or has poor internal work ethics.

About White Company Certification
This is the only certification system in Japan that comprehensively evaluates a company’s internal systems and initiatives. White Company Certification discovers “great companies to leave behind for the next generation” and evaluates their personnel systems and initiatives through White Company Certification. The program recognizes companies where people work vigorously and creatively, making the most of their individuality and characteristics. The program is designed to discover and promote such companies.
The program has developed a 70 point system for the requirements for a white company by surveying more than 1,000 companies to determine what is required to make a company white. These 70 questions are divided into seven categories: business model/productivity, work-life balance, health management, human resource development/job satisfaction, diversity and inclusion, risk management, and labor law compliance.
White Company Certification is the only organization in Japan that comprehensively evaluates and assesses HR systems and initiatives, rather than just one initiative. The evaluation and certification system by a third-party organization can be utilized in modern employment public relations.
Work Style as a Global Company Regardless of Employment Status and Nationality
Shape Win has employees of multiple nationalities and employs many part-time (shortened hours) as well as full-time employees. To allow for flexible work, ShapeWin has introduced a flextime system for all positions, enabling employees to achieve a work-life balance that suits their own physical condition and that of their families’ schedules and physical condition. In implementing remote work, ShapeWin has also introduced regular study sessions and short one-on-one meetings to promote internal skill development and communication. As a result, our company was able to obtain Gold certification as a White Company for the first time.
